Planning a wedding abroad can be a happy experience when you choose the right wedding planner. But it can also be stressful and full of unpleasant surprises (some of them expensive) if you go for the wrong person or company.

I’d love to introduce myself, and if you’d like my laid-back and relaxed style, attention to detail, and great passion for making wedding dreams come true, I’d love to hear from you! I will be more than happy to help.

I started my career as a wedding planner in 2004, after becoming Bulgaria’s first certified wedding planner. I am a co-founder and the owner of the boutique wedding agency “Fairytale Day” (in Bulgarian, “Prikazen Den”).

Our wedding agency quickly became the most sought-after company, and my team and I organised hundreds of beautiful weddings and events across the country. I became a celebrity wedding planner and had the opportunity to present our fantastic work on many TV and reality shows, top magazines, and radio talk shows.

In 2009, my family and I moved to London, UK, and settled down for good. Being passionate about weddings and beautiful events (I also run paint & sip events in London), I kept working as a destination wedding planner, working with couples worldwide who wanted to get married in Bulgaria.

Here are a few things about me you have to know if we are going to work together:

I’m an excellent listener.

For all those years, I worked with couples of different nationalities, and the most important thing I’ve learned is to listen to what my couples dream of so I can turn their dreams into unforgettable memories.

At the very beginning of our planning journey, you and I will get to know each other. In a discovery one-on-one virtual meeting, I’d love to hear about your love story, how you met, where you like going on holidays, how he proposed to you, and many more.

I love to give people a choice.

This is the reason why we don’t have “all-inclusive” or “ready” wedding packages. When we start working together, the first step for me will be to handpick for you a short selection of wedding venues and wedding services that will best match your wedding ideas and budget. This will give you a great opportunity to choose exactly what you want from the pre-selected options.

I love to style weddings and events.

Nothing is more exciting than recreating your love story in every wedding detail. Together, we will select the best colours and choose all elements and flowers, and on your wedding day, my team will execute the entire decoration and flowers exactly the way you like. You will have the most beautiful wedding.

I love to plan weddings.

Once you book me, I will be your wedding planner. I will work with you and for you, and I will look after your best interests. That means providing you with accurate information, reviewing all contracts, advising you on the best options, and many more.

One more thing:

I personally attend and coordinate all my weddings.

My team and I will look after you through the entire wedding day. We will make sure that everything is running smoothly and according to plan, and you both will have the most amazing day of your lives.

Well, there are a few things I won’t be able to offer you, though. Those are:

• I won’t be able to provide you with information about the prices of all the services in advance.

Couples sometimes ask, How much will our wedding in Bulgaria cost?

This is difficult to say because there are so many different options in terms of prices and quality of the services. The best approach is to ask yourself: How much do you want to spend on a once-in-a-lifetime wedding experience? Once you have your approximate budget, I can give you an idea of what you can have for this budget.

• Legal documents and marriage certificate

In Bulgaria, you can only have a blessing or a symbolic ceremony if neither of you has Bulgarian nationality. Bulgarian law doesn’t allow foreigners to have a legal marriage. However, if you permanently live or work in Bulgaria, by law, you are a resident and, therefore, can have an official marriage.

Of course, if one of you is Bulgarian, there won’t be any problems.

I personally advise my couples to avoid stress and hassle with paperwork, translating, taxes, legalising documents, and so on. I recommend you get married in the country you live in because this is the easiest and cheapest option for you.

• Booking flights and accommodations

I will be helping you every step of the way; however, when it comes to booking flights and accommodations, we advise this to be done on a personal level. Many of your guests will plan their own holiday. Some of them may want to stay a bit longer as they may want to explore the country; others may prefer to stay in a luxury resort that is not suitable for all your guests; or maybe someone else will need a children-friendly hotel, and so on.

You can count on me to advise you on the best accommodation options around your wedding venue; however, all of the actual bookings have to be made by yourself and your guests.
